Questions

Katie: It’s been great watching the communications you’ve created for our clients evolve over the past few years! Where do you find inspiration for new communication designs and mediums?

Bobby: Magazines and online publications are my biggest source of inspiration. I love to read and find unique page layouts from publications like Rolling Stone, Men’s Health and Conde Nast Traveler.

Katie: What are some of the biggest improvements you think have been made to client communication campaigns?

Bobby: In the past 4 years, we have been able to keep up with the latest trends by developing Platform Walk Through Animated Videos, Interactive Flipbook Benefit Guides, and Print Communications that link via QR code to Digital Assets. Our goal is to utilize client’s existing communication vehicles to create on-brand communications that stand out!

Katie: What do you want employers and others in our industry to know about the importance of communicating about benefits?

Bobby: The most important part about communicating benefits to a user is simplifying the content so that the enrollee understands the importance of the plan. We see so many benefit communications that are written for more of a benefits expert than an everyday person and we want to change the way people learn about their benefits.

Katie: Where do you see the future of employee communications moving?

Bobby: Digital Communications are absolutely the future. Also, Interactive Communication Tools such as Guidebooks that link to other parts of the document or charts are allowing us to create a unique experience when reading a Benefits Guide.
