Questions

Kelly: Bob, you have been with Winston for over 3 years now. What is your favorite thing about working here?

Robert: We have a great culture here at Winston. Everyone likes to work hard but also have fun. Also, everyone is very supportive of each other.

Kelly: Q4 can be a very stressful and busy time for employees. How do you help your team manage stress during Q4?

Robert: I check in with individuals every few days to find out how they are feeling and what is going on. I emphasize to them that we are a team and here for each other. There is nothing wrong with needing help, so just reach out. We also like bringing food or treats to break some of the tension.

Kelly: What are your top 3 tips for handling stress in or out of the office?

Robert:
1. Take a break when you need it. Go for a walk, work out, or do something that takes your mind off the work.

2. Try to keep everyone focused on today and not worry about the next day or next week. This keeps everyone from getting overwhelmed during our busy period. Take each day at a time, and we will get there.

3. Keep a positive atmosphere. Send out positive sayings. When issues start to come up, make a positive spin on them. If the atmosphere stays positive, people tend to be more proactive and stay calm. Compliment people when they get things done or figure something out. Encourage people to praise each other and the teams.
