Q: How long have you been with Winston?
Jamie Goode: I have been with Winston for 8.5 years.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at Winston?
Jamie Goode: The Team. I’m very fortunate to work with an incredible group of people. Each person has different strengths and perspectives that come together to work collaboratively to meet common goals.
Q: What skills or qualities do you think are most important for your role?
Jamie Goode: The ability to understand the needs of the individual teammates while pairing with the company’s overall goals to strategically design and deliver an effective training program.
Q: What project or accomplishment are you particularly proud of?
Jamie Goode: One of the accomplishments I am most proud of from my time here at Winston is expanding the footprint of the Training & Development Department and cultivating a positive learning culture. It’s extremely rewarding to see the growth of the Winston Teammates from their initial onboarding through their professional success and career advancement.
Q: How did you start your career, and what inspired you to join Winston?
Jamie Goode: It was a great opportunity to utilize the skills and knowledge I gained in my prior roles to develop local talent.
Q: Do you have any advice for someone starting out in your field?
Jamie Goode: The field of Training & Development is fluid and continues to evolve…there is always room for growth and improvement. Be patient, be humble, learn from others, and continue to develop yourself.
